Easy Outside Photography 101 - Hard Road for Lyn, Easy Road for YOU.

The concept of photography comes up all the time. There is always someone new who doesn't do well by just snapping a picture and posting it to sell their creative-genius wares.

I've been on this journey for as long as I have been selling jewelry on Etsy. I would list some gorgeous necklace. The pictures were too dark. I would do research, learn more and list a new gorgeous necklace. The pictures were too dark.
I dug right down to the bottom of my soul. I used everything I could think of and then I'd ask someone their opinion of my jewelry photography. They'd take the time to look and say, "The pictures are too dark." Sadly I would walk away.

Today, I have a new list and a new strategy that should last until October.

So, if you have trouble with photographing your etsy wares, here's all you need to do.

1. At six o'clock pm, go outside.
2. Find a nicely lighted spot.
3. You don't need shade, you still need the sun.
4. Choose a plain background
5. Lay your creation out attractively.
6. Get out your camera
7. Turn OFF the flash
8. Turn ON the Macro Setting.
9. Keep shadows out of your picture.
10. Get your camera to within eight to ten inches.
11. Use a tri-pod if you must.
12. SNAP! SNAP! SNAP!
