Etsy Team Columbus is pleased to announce that our energetic team member, Lola of AutismLoveHope, has won our first Team Treasury contest for creating the most treasuries in the past two-week period. It was a very tight compeition, actually resulting in a four-way tie for the most treasuries, and Lola's name was randomly drawn as the winner from among the four contenders. Congratulations Lola!

Please enjoy this week's team treasuries. And of course, we encourage you to leave comments on each treasury if you're so inclined.

Teammate Interview - Robyn from "Taylor Baskin Design" and "From My Eye"

Author Written by Michael Creations on Date

Congratulations to Robyn for winning our "Winter Wonderland" challenge last month! Robyn is an extremely talented photography and jewelry designer. Here's a little more information about her and her fabulous Etsy shops. Make sure you stop by and check them out!

What are the addresses for your Etsy shops?
I have two shops:
FromMyEye.etsy.com  - Fine Art Photography , frameable note cards, and product photography
TaylorBaskinDesign.com – Jewelry making stampings, castings, findings and charms along with jewelry, bookmarks and decorated picture frames.
How long have you been designing and doing photography?
I started designing jewelry in mid-1990s.  I love to wear unique pieces but never seemed to find anything I really liked so I started designing for myself. People began asking me where I got the pieces I was wearing and the business grew from there.
In the photography realm, I’ve had cameras ever since I was a little girl but it wasn’t until 2006 when I realized my passion for photography. On Valentine’s Day, 2006, my wonderful husband, surprised me with the camera of my dreams and the rest has been history.
I not only enjoy capturing images but also get totally jazzed when customers are as excited as I am about my work.  Everyone has a purpose – after years of soul searching, I’ve realized that mine is to make people smile; either with my jewelry or the images I capture with my camera.
Where did the idea for your designs originate?
In my jewelry designs, I just experiment with shapes, and textures until I create something I like. Working with pearls is one of my favorites; either hand knotting or stringing them with other beads or metals.
And, in my photography, I always have a camera.  I never know what will catch my attention but I am always ready.
What makes your items different from others?
With my photography, I really try to capture the essence of the subject. Two people can photograph the exact same thing but neither image will be alike.
Do you offer custom orders?
Absolutely!  I love a challenge.
Are you featured anywhere locally?
Being new to Ohio, I’ve not been featured locally; however in my previous location I was featured in several shows. I look forward to the opportunities a great place like Columbus offers and I will be pounding the pavement in the very near future!

Congratulations again, Robyn! Your work is stunning and we all look forward to seeing more of your beautiful creations and photography!
